Green Blue Nexus

Not another programme.

The Green Blue Nexus (GBN) Platform is a proposed national, institution-neutral collaborative ecosystem for advancing Sustainable Economy Development and Transformation in Indonesia. It is deliberately not an implementing organization, a standalone programme, or a fund.

What it is

Participating organizations keep their own mandates, governance, and comparative advantages while collaborating voluntarily. The Platform strengthens collaboration, readiness, knowledge exchange, verification, and convening — complementing rather than replacing existing initiatives.

Governance as it actually is

The Habibie Center (THC) is the proposed Founding Convener and establishment-phase Secretariat. The role is facilitative and time-bound. THC does not own the Platform. Indonesia Economic Forum (IEF) is the SETAP clinic execution partner. Participation is voluntary and subject to separate agreement. We do not publish a ministry-style organogram we cannot staff.

Why green and blue

Land and sea are one system managed today with two sets of institutions. Value at the intersection — green ports, blue carbon, watershed–fishery links, efficient cold chains — falls through the cracks between mandates.

What it is not

  • Not a new ministry, agency, or authority.
  • Not an implementing body that delivers projects itself.
  • Not a funding facility that deploys capital on its own account.
  • Not a programme competing for the same mandate and budget.
  • Not New Energy Nexus Indonesia, and not BRIN’s “Blue-Green Nexus” village-energy research model.
  • Not a finished academy, certification body, or marketplace.
